Kilimanjaro National park is one of the Tanzanian national parks situated 300 kilometers south of the equator, Kilimanjaro region. The park is famous from the huge name it carries from the mountain of light mostly known as Mountain Kilimanjaro. Kilimanjaro national park features the highest snow-caped mountain in Africa – Mount Kilimanjaro. The park is located in the northern part of the republic of Tanzania just above the hills and the plateau of Amboseli national park. Kilimanjaro National park is among the best tourism destinations in Tanzania and East Africa at large administered by the Tanzania National parks Authority (TANAPA).

Mountain Kilimanjaro: Kilimanjaro national park carries its name from this highest snow caped mountain in Africa. Mountain Kilimanjaro rises above sea level to over 4877m for the lowest peak and 5895m for the highest peak. This mountain is the highest volcanic mountain in the African continent.
